Would a few of you old salts be willing to let a new kid in on the procedure to post pictures. Have tried to post a pictue of my bike and can't seem to figure it out. My wife is ex-Intel and she has not been much help.

Appreciate your assistance. Humbly?

I have asked how to post pictures before and was directed to sites like Photobucket but isn't there a way to post pictures without depositing them in a public access site like that? I know that posting pictures here is "going public" but at least it's to a selected group. I would appreciate any help you could offer.

How does one post a picture? I have them on my computer but have not been able to accomplish this task. I'm not the most computer savy person. I can post them on Ebay but they have a program that does everything for you. Thanks for the time, Dave

I know how to post pictures on forums.

I know how to upload pictures to photobucket.

I give them the desired titles.

How do I get a picture to show up when I google images?

I keep striking out when I want to stick out.

Help me.....help me..... for I am computerly illiterate.I have tried PhotoPoint and Ofoto to post pictures. They, obviously, don't work for me.PhotoPoint didn't work even when they were in business. Ofoto gives me that funny looking little box.Would those of you who seem to be able to post any picture you want to, tell me what you use to do it? I don't mean the exact process. I mean a particular website.Do you use a photo service website? Do you pay for whatever you use? Do you have your own website? I see that some of you can even post video. (Show offs.) I'd prefer a website that's free, but will spring for a few bucks if I have to.Any assist will be appreciated. Mudge the frustrated

I have a picture of the new world record bear killed in Alaska. It was 12 feet six inches at the shoulder and I was wandering how can I post it and let you all check it out.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

I know it's too late to avoid being a pain in the *, BUT....
I can't seem to get the hang of posting pictures here. I have my own website but don't know what to put in front of and behind the address to make it post a picture here.
Here's the addres: http://home.netcom.com/~eneybl1/

Would someone be kind enough to show me what goes in front and behind this address to make it work?

Ah 'preciates it.

your isp probably gives you free webspace, use that. you need to link to the site with ubb. go to one of mine, then click edit/delete to see howwhen you do it will look like most isps have a idiotproof web builder, just pick a page that has a lot of spots for pics, edit to put your pic on the site, then open in browser window, copythe url from address window, go to your post, type , paste url, type, and you got it [This message has been edited by Varmintmist (edited 01-07-2002).][This message has been edited by Varmintmist (edited 01-07-2002).]

My ISP gives 5 megs of free web space. Only problem is I had to install an ftp client program. After playing with it for a day I finally found out how to use the ftp to upload pics and other programs. Monkey, I could not get the code that you show to work, I had to use the ubb code to get it to work. Mudge, it looks lke you had the code right, did you make sure the url was correct, the code worked that is why you got the funny little box, it just appeared that the url wasnt picking up.

I tried to use (what I thought was the code) from the begining and end of that. I used the [ img ] [/ img ] code for mine to work.

Mudge, if you are looking to post pictures on the auction site there is an easier way than hosted pictures.
